Jakarta, 16 September 2025: ERIA President Tetsuya Watanabe received a courtesy call from H.E. Srinivas Gotru, the newly appointed Ambassador of India to ASEAN, on 16 September 2025.

President Watanabe underscored the importance of deepening India–ASEAN collaboration in strategic areas such as digital public infrastructure, the energy transition, integration of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and strengthening semiconductor supply chain resilience. He also expressed ERIA’s readiness to work closely with the Government of India, through the Indian Mission to ASEAN, to advance cooperation in these fields.

President Watanabe also briefed Ambassador Gotru on the outcomes of his recent visit to Delhi, where he held discussions with senior Indian officials as well as business and policy leaders. Both leaders exchanged views on the latest developments in global semiconductor supply chains, global value chains, and India Stack – the country’s digital public infrastructure.
